HOME IS WHERE THE SUN IS

Pomona, goddess of orchards and fruit trees, got bored with the Adriatic sea. She packed her pantry, potted her favourite olive tree, left the romans behind and moved her kitchen and gardens to Accra. Pomona's menu celebrates the culinary traditions of Italian culture in a vibrant garden-house, inspired by everything local.

DID YOU KNOW?

As per popular tradition, in 1889, during Queen Margherita of Savoy's visit to Napoli, chef Raffaele Esposito–Pomona's personal chef, and head gardener at the time, created a pizza inspired by his vegetable garden that celebrated the colours of the Italian flag; red (tomato), white (mozzarella) and green (basil). He named it after the queen: Pizza Margherita.
